The Canadiens thrashed Philadelphia Monday night at the Bell Centre with a final score of 5-0.
Habs fans had a lot to be excited about following the big win over the Flyers. After seeing the first of Patrik Laine in blue, white, and red threads, he had a solid performance. While he didn't manage to get on the scoresheet, the eye test saw chemistry building between Laine, Hutson and Dach.
Lane Hutson was the first star of the game, as his skating ability stood out in a major way. He assisted David Savard's goal.
What was the most surprising part of the game was how well the line of Oliver Kapanen, Emil Heineman, and Alex Barre-Boulet played. Each of them had two points, as they will look to battle for roster spots as the pre-season continues.
The Canadiens take on the New Jersey Devils at 7:00 pm Tuesday, as the second group of players make their pre-season debuts.
